About me

When I’m at work I’m a graphic designer and web developer, now also producing videos. I work with and for people who are blind or visually impaired. Sometimes people are surprised that I make websites and videos for people who can’t see them. But it’s true that these people — visually impaired — use computers, watch movies and television, and surf the world web. They read books and look at pictures. They say “see you later” for goodbye. They use technology that magnifies content on their screen, inverts color, or reads text aloud. This is why Web Standards and “narrative flow” are important in such design.

My wife and I have been married happily for a while now. She knits yarns, grows flowers, and takes naps. I read books, collect quotes, and sometimes write a few words. We live in a small house in the city. We are pregnant with our first child.

I want to see, experience, and know our world; hear life stories of wise, zealous, and humble people; be part of something larger than myself, learn more than I already know, read books that I haven’t read, and hear music I haven’t heard. I cherish change, love adventure, and I’m scared to death of most of it.
